_______________________________________________ Here you will find all the ninja gear invented so far. The "Tech level" is only connected to the Kage rules so if you're not a Kage (or a council member) just ignore it. From time to time they may be updated. The new gear will be posted at the bottom in the "New Stuff" post, and after 2 weeks will be moved to their appropriate place. Protective head gear
_______________________________________________ Here is a list of equipment intended for the head. The "Head Up" contains items you wear only on your forehead or scalp, "Head Middle" contains items you wear only below the forehead and above the mouth (mostly glasses and visors here), "Head Lower" contains items you wear only below the nose (gas masks, chin or throat protectors), and finally the "Multi Slot Head Gear" contains stuff that protect multiple parts of or your entire head (the best items are here). Forehead Protector Type: Head Gear Slot: Head Up Weight: 1 Durability: 30 Defense: 3 Description: The common item used by all ninja, received when becoming a Genin. It is not so much intended to be a protective gear as much as it's simply meant to display ones allegiance to a village. Having, selling, much less wearing, a forehead protector belonging to another village is considered illegal and a grave personal insult to the village in question. Wars have been started over things like that! Effect: +1 Prc. It can be used as a "mirror" when not equipped. Special: You can't buy this item. If yours is lost/destroyed you have to request a new one. Price on the Black Market varies. Tech level: 1
Bandana Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up Weight: 0.2 Durability: 5 Defense: 0 Description: Just a piece of cloth tied around the forehead to keep your hair and sweat from getting in your eyes. Effect: +1 Prc. Price: 500¥ Tech level: 1
Simple Straw hat Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up Weight: 0.4 Durability: 5 Defense: 2 Description: A simple straw hat to provide a bit of shade. More for decoration than anything else. Effect: +1 Prc. Price: 1,000¥ Tech level: 1
Jingasa Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up Weight: 2 Durability: 15 Defense: 5 Description: A simple leather hat that provides with a bit of protection, while not getting in the way. Effect: +2 Prc. Price: 4.000¥ Tech level: 2
Shinto apprentice head insignia Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up Weight: 0.5 Durability: 7 Defense: 0 Description: A hat with the Yin-Yang symbol blessed by a high priest. People claim that when wearing it they feel at peace, yet without a fuin seal this is just a normal hat. Effect: +1 Str, +1 Agl, +1 Stm, +1 gen knowledge, +1 nin knowledge. Has 1 fuin slot seal, but if the slot is equipped this item loses the stats boost. Price: 16.000¥ Tech level: 2
Sound proof Ear Muffins Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up Weight: 0.5 Durability: 5 Defense: 0 Description: A pair of ridicules fluffy ear muffins worn by girlly girls to look cute...or in rare cases protect their ears from the cold. Some traders (who are in the business of supplying weapons to ninja) have reversed engineered these so that they can also block out sound on que. On pain of death by an angry mob of girls they were forbidden from changing the outer design so that ninjas wouldn't buy them. Effect: You look silly. -100% Prc (audio penalty), 1 BP cost to activate or deactivate this effect. Price: 8.000¥ Tech level: 3
Ebōshi Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up Weight: 0.6 Durability: 7 Defense: 0 Description: A richly decorated hat with the Yin-Yang symbol used by a high priests. It's infused with a lot of chakra and a lot of fuin seals. The sheer power emanating from it is enough to give people standing close to the one wearing it a headache, let alone the people who is actually wearing it. Clearly not everyone was meant to wear this. Effect: +6 Str, +6 Stm, -3 nin and gen knowledge, each round you are under a genjutsu you gain an additional 1 gen resistance. Extra slot: 3 seal slot. Shades Type: Head Gear Slot: Head middle Weight: 0.2 Durability: 5 Defense: 0 Description: A pair of glasses with dimmed lenses. They keep the pesky sun from glaring in your eyes, hide the evidence when you're high or haven't slept or have a hangover and they make you look cool. Mind you, that last part is not guaranteed. Effect: +2 Prc during sunny days, -25% visual Prc if in a dark places. Light based perception penalties (excluding genjutsus) are reduced by 25%. Price: 4,000¥ Tech level: 1
Black lens Goggles Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up or middle Weight: 0.6 Durability: 20 Defense: 0 Description: Black lens goggles who were created as a counter for the infamous flash bombs. Wearing these in the presence of extremely bright light makes your vision normal, but wearing them when there isn't is almost like wearing a blindfold. Effect: The goggles may rest on the forehead. It costs 1 BP to slim on or slip them off from the eyes. 1) Blocks out light, -100% Prc (visual penalty). 2) External visual penalties such as bright light (excluding genjutsus) have no effect and they negate this item's 1st effect. Price: 8.000¥ Tech level: 2
Protective Visor Type: Head Gear Slot: Head middle or head up Weight: 1 Durability: 20 Defense: 3 Description: A unique kind of goggles which look kinda like a skiing mask. They were originally designed by noble clans with doujutsu based KG who wanted to accelerate the maturing of the doujutsu process in their children. Despite not having doujutsu, other ninja found these goggles very useful so they started using them as well. Effect: +5 Prc. +2 KG if KG is a doujutsu. Light based perception penalties (excluding genjutsus) are reduced by 25%. Price: 16.000¥ Tech level: 3 (Obito used a pair of these)
Range Finder Type: Head Gear Slot: Head middle Weight: 0.4 Durability: 5 Defense: 0 Description: A device worn over 1 eye intended for accurate measuring of distance. Effect: +1 RT. +10 perception when using or responding to small~medium ranged attacks. Reduce all distance related penalties by 10. Price: 64.000¥ Tech level: 4 (Deidara used one of these) Head Lower:- Spoiler:
Partial mask Type: Head Gear Slot: Head lower Weight: 0.2 Durability: 5 Defense: 0 Description: A mask made of soft material that hides your face from the eyes down. Some people find it so comfortable that they don't remove it unless they absolutely must *cough*Kakashi*cough*. Effect: You look cool. Price: 500¥ Tech level: 1
Breathing Mask Type: Head Gear Slot: Head lower Weight: 2 Durability: 20 Defense: 1 Description: A device that fits over a person’s mouth. It makes breathing a little harder but its filters can purify corrupted air, toxic gases or powdered poisons. By attaching a small oxygen canister instead of the filter, it can allow a person to breathe underwater for a period of time. Effect: Filters the air or just supplies air if oxygen canisters are attached for 8 rounds worth of time. After that filters/canisters need changing. As long as a canister is attached to the mask duration will expire, but don't reduce duration for the filter if you aren't in a noxious environment. "Rest" recovers 1 less Stm when exhausted. ANBU mask Type: Head Gear Slot: Head middle and lower Weight: 1 Durability: 20 Defense: 15 Description: The ANBU mask's main purpose is to hide the user's identity, even within his own village. Its represented animal and color varies from person to person, as each has it's own meaning. It is a symbol that shines trust to allies and fear to enemies. Obtaining an ANBU mask belonging to another village commands fear and respect in others, and the promise of your guts soon spilled everywhere by the village whose mask that belongs to. Effect: None. Special: You can't buy this item. If destroyed you will recieve a new one. Price on the Black Market varies. Having an ANBU mask belonging to another village will cause that village to lose 1 rep point and your village to gain 1 rep point every time you leave the village with that mask to complete a B or higher ranked mission. This effect only works once every a week. Tech level: 1
Light Helmet Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up and middle Weight: 4 Durability: 100 Defense: 12 Description: A Japanese Samurai-like helmet, adapted to be lighter and more "motion-friendly" for ninja. It covers not only the top of the head, but also the back and the sides as well as half the neck. Although it can sometimes be a little uncomfortable, many have gotten over this little downside in order to achieve greater protection. Effect: -1 Agl and Prc. Price: 2.000¥ Tech level: 1
Traditional Ninja Garb Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up and down Weight: 0.6 Durability: 15 Defense: 1 Description: A traditional ninja full head mask made of very soft, stretchy cloth-like material that blends in with the shadows. It was designed for stealth and mobility rather than protection. Many ninjas choose it because it is very comfortable and they claim that it improves their performance by keeping away all the usual little distractions (hair getting in the eyes, itches caused by humidity, insects, cold...). It's like a second skin! Effect: +1 Prc, +4 Agl. Price: 4.000¥ Tech level: 2
Kabuto Type: Head Gear Slot: All Head slots Weight: 15 Durability: 250 Defense: 30 Description: A traditional samurai helmet with a menpō and shikoro leaves nothing unprotected above the shoulders. Among the ninja these helmets go by the name "Stiff necks" because, in spite of the great protection they offer, they leave a lot to be desired in the mobility department. Effect: -3 Agl, -3 Prc, +2 Str and Stm. Price: 16.000¥ Tech level: 2
Chainmail Garb Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up and down Weight: 3 Durability: 50 Defense: 10 Description: One of the ninja's all time favorite. It looks exactly like the ninja garb only made of carefully woven metal. Surprisingly enough, it doesn't restrict movement at all. It's like your skin's bigger, tougher, meaner cousin with a prison record! Effect: +2 Prc. +4 Agl. Price: 16.000¥ Tech level: 3
Improved Light Helmet Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up and middle Weight: 5 Durability: 180 Defense: 17 Description: Using new types of metal, which are equally light but much tougher, blacksmiths have made a breakthrough. By building upon the current design, the new lightweight helmet provides much more protection than previously. It's still uncomfortable though. Effect: -1 Agl and Prc. Price: 8.000¥ Tech level: 3
Kawari kabuto Type: Head Gear Slot: All Head Slots Weight: 20 Durability: 350 Defense: 35 Description: Aside from being made of stronger stuff and with more decorations, for all intents and purposes this samurai helmet is much like its original. Effect: -3 Agl, -3 Prc, +3 Str and Stm. Extra slots: 1 seal slot. Price: 32.000¥ Tech level: 4
Shadow Garb Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up and lower Weight: 0.6 Durability: 10 Defense: 1 Description: One of the ninja's all time favorite. Unlike the traditional ninja garbs, these garbs are painstakingly custom designed to be a perfect match for each ninja and are infused with chakra so that they can change color to match the backround. Not many ninja can afford these, but those that do buy them have never once complained about their usefulness and quality. Effect: +4 Prc, +6 Agl. Price: 32.000¥ Tech level: 4
Ultimate Ninja Garb Type: Head Gear Slot: Head up and down Weight: 2 Durability: 30 Defense: 5 Description: The best a shinobi could ask for. It takes at least 5 people, all with the highest of skills, working as a team to create one of these. Each metal thread is separately channeled with chakra by a different specialist during the weaving process. Effect: +5 Prc, +10 Agl. Improve chakra based "out of sight" infiltration techniques by 1/4. Extra slots: 1 seal slot. Price: 128.000¥ Tech level: 5
Ultimate Light Helmet Type: Head Gear Slot: Head Up and Head Middle or Lower Weight: 5 Durability: 220 Defense: 25 Description: After much revision, the flaws in the basic design have finally been fixed. It's custom tailored, no longer uncomfortable, infused with chakra, doesn't shine when light hits it, has additional protection against elements, and most important of all, it's a piece of cake to make manufacture them. Effect: +1 to all stats. Extra slots: 1 seal slot. Price: 64.000¥ Tech level: 5
Ultimate Warrior Helmet Type: Head Gear Slot: All Head slots Weight: 25 Durability: 500 Defense: 50 Description: In no manner, shape or form was this helmet designed for subtelty, quite the opposed in fact, it was meant for samurai leaders to make their presence known on the battlefield. A rather unconventional choice of gear for a ninja to say the least, yet it sells. Effect: -3 Agl, -2 Prc, +4 Str and Stm. Extra slots: 2 seal slots. Price: 128.000¥ Tech level: 5
Ultimate Utility mask Type: Head Gear Slot: All Head slots Weight: 2 Durability: 80 Defense: 10 Description: A helmet full of gadgets, devices and utilities. Makes the life of any ninja a whole lot easier. Effect: +15 Prc. Reduce visual perception penalties (excluding genjutsus) by 50%. Immune to smoke type poisons. You can breath up to 32 rounds underwater. Price: 128.000¥ Tech level: 5 (Hanzou used on of these)
Kannushi Ebōshi Type: Head Gear Slot: Head middle and lower Weight: 1 Durability: 10 Defense: 2 Description: A sacred item worn only by the highest ranking priests. Ninjas saw the military value of these masks so they started using them. Needless to say, such sacrilege did not go well with the religious types. Effect: +5 Nin and -1 Stm when casting ninjutsu. +10 Gen and -2 Stm and 1 BP when casting genjutsu. Each round you are under a genjutsu you gain an additional +2 gen resistance. Special: When you enter an [important] topic outside your village while wearing this item, you get placed in the bingo book with a reward of 2000¥. If you already are in the bingo book the reward increases by another 2000¥. Extra slots: 4 seal slots. Price: 200.000¥ Tech level: 5

Custom Clothes Type: Body Gear Slot: Body or 1 item slots Weight: 3 Durability: - Defense: - Description: Normal civilian clothes. They come in all shapes and sizes. Effect: None. Price: 100¥ Tech level: 1
Kage Robe Type: - Slot: - Weight: 2 Durability: - Defense: - Description: The clothes kage (should) wear in public and official meetings. There is absolutely nothing special about them, but they are bulky and serve to hide the equipment the kage wears under them. Effect: Hides the equipment you wear under it. Special: You get this item for free when you become Kage. It's illegal to own or much less wear one of these if you aren't a Kage. Prices on the black market vary. Tech level: 1
Kimono Type: Body Gear Slot: Body or 4 Item slots Weight: 7 Durability: 50 Defense: 2 Description: A Kimono is a traditional dressing used by civilians, samurai and ninja alike. It is light and comfortable, and it carries with a dignifying appearance. Many ninja choose this cloth as it allows a lot of freedom of movement, as well as blend within a crowd or backround, although it doesn't grant a lot of protection. Effect: +2 Agility and Stamina. Special: If you have Partial Mask, Straw Hat and Reinforced Sandals equipped then you get +1 to all PS stats. Extra slots: 1 Item slot. Price: 8.000¥ Tech level: 1
Youth Suit Type: Body Gear Slot: Body or 4 Item slots Weight: 2 Durability: 50 Defense: 0 Description: The Youth suit is an unconventional gear usually used by eccentric Taijutsu oriented ninja. It is very light and comfortable to use, although it sets the style a bit far behind...Way behind. Effect: You look silly. +2 strength, agility and stamina. +1 EXP during training topics, must allocate at least 2 KS in taijutsu knowledge when leveling up. Special: If you have sandals (any sandals) and you don't have any other protective gear equipped then you get +15 stamina. If you have the "Youth" special trait ignore this condition. Price: 16.000¥ Tech level: 2
Traditional Ninja Gear Type: Body Gear Slot: Body or 4 Item slots Weight: 2 Durability: 50 Defense: 0 Description: The conventional ninja dressing with its dark colors. This outfit is very light with many secret places for weapons and despite them it still allows full freedom of motion. Regardless of the fact that it doesn't provide proper protection, it still makes it one of the best choices for any shinobi. Effect: +8 Agility. Special: If you have any Gloves, Traditional Ninja Garb and any Bushido Sandals equipped then you get +8 Agility. Extra slots: 2 Item slots. Price: 32.000¥ Tech level: 2
Chain-mail Ninja Gear Type: Body Gear Slot: Body or 4 Item slots Weight: 9 Durability: 150 Defense: 18 Description: Much like the conventional ninja outfit only woven in a fishnet kind of pattern using metal thread. It's heavier, but it doesn't compromise mobility plus it provides decent protection. Effect: +4 Agility and Stamina. Special: If you have Retractable wrist blades or Metal Plated Gloves, Chain-nail Garb and any Padded Sandals equipped then you get +1 Strength, +2 Stamina, +3 perception and +4 Agility. Extra slots: 3 Item slot. Price: 64.000¥ Tech level: 3
Assassin Ninja Gear Type: Body Gear Slot: Body or 4 Item slots Weight: 2 Durability: 50 Defense: 1 Description: Upon the discovery of chakra molding and modern ninjutsu, the conventional ninja garments underwent a series of updating. After being infused with chakra, the new outfits gave stealth a whole new meaning as they could now match any backround. Effect: +12 Agility. Special: If you have Retractable Wrist blades, Shadow Garb and Elite Bushido Sandals equipped then you get +15 Agility. Extra slots: 3 Item slot. Price: 64.000¥ Tech level: 4
Ultimate Ninja Gear Type: Body Gear Slot: Body or 4 Item slots Weight: 9 Durability: 150 Defense: 18 Description: A work of art. Many a shinobi would give their left arm and right leg to own one of these. An outfit that is almost invisible. Effect: +20 Agility, +5 Stamina. Special: If you have Fuin Gloves, Ultimate Ninja Garb and Ultimate Ninja Sandals equipped then you get +20 Agility, +5 Perception and Stamina. Extra slots: 3 Item slot. Price: 175.000¥ Tech level: 5
Akatsuki Robe Type: Body Gear Slot: Body or 4 Item slots Weight: 10 Durability: 150 Defense: 15 Description: A heavy robe made of very thick cloth. It's black with red flowers, bulky with many many places for concealed items and infused with chakra. They are very intimidating and really stand out, yet when you put on the hat that goes with it you somehow slide away from people's perception. Special: If you have any Omnikoji insignia equipped, ignore the negative effects from the fuin seals in them. Extra slots: 10 Item/Accessory slots. Price: 175.000¥ Tech level: 5 Middleweight Body Gear- Spoiler:
ANBU Attack Gear, Special Chest Armor Type: Body Gear Slot: Body or 4 Item slots Weight: 10 Durability: 200 Defense: 20 Description: ANBU standard issue. It provides no neck or shoulder protection, but the torso is more than sufficiently protected. Effects: +3 Agility, +2 strength and stamina. Extra slots: 1 item and 1 scroll slot. Special: If you have ANBU Mask, ANBU Forearm Guards and ANBU Special Footwear equipped then you get +40 defense. This item is awarded to a ninja upon becoming an ANBU. This weapon can't be sold (except on the black market) or worn by anyone who is not an ANBU. Ignore that last part if you are from another village or criminal and looted this item. Tech level: 1
Flak Jacket variation #1 Type: Body Gear Slot: Body and 3 Accessory slots or 4 Item slots Weight: 20 Durability: 150 Defense: 10 Description: A rather outdated version of the classical Chuunin and Jounin combat uniform. It is inferior from every aspect. Effects: -3 agility, +1 strength and stamina. Special: If you have Forehead Protector, Partial mask, Gloves and Normal Sandals equipped then you get +3 Agility. Price: 4.000¥ Tech level: 1
Flak Jacket variation #2 Type: Body Gear Slot: Body and 2 Accessory slots or 4 Item slots Weight: 10 Durability: 200 Defense: 8 Description: A white flak jacket which extends over the left shoulder. Under the jacket one usually wears a grey or black undershirt. It no longer protects the neck, but overall it doesn't sacrifice protection too much. Effects: +2 agility. Extra slots: 1 mini scroll slot (only 1 scroll). Price: 8.000¥ Special: If you have Bandana, Shades, Partial Mask, Gloves and Normal Sandals equipped then you get +5 Defense. Tech level: 1
Flak Jacket variation #3 Type: Body Gear Slot: Body and 2 Accessory slots or 4 Item slots Weight: 15 Durability: 200 Defense: 12 Description: Resembles the typical uniform for Chuunin and Jounin. Additional protection has been placed on the shoulders, but still no extra slots as seen on other Flak Jacket uniforms. Effects: +1 strength and stamina. Special: If you have Leather Hat, Shades, Partial Mask, Gloves and Padded Sandals equipped then you get +1 to all PS stats. Price: 16.000¥ Tech level: 2
Flak Jacket variation #4 Type: Body Gear Slot: Body or 4 Item slots Weight: 8 Durability: 150 Defense: 8 Description: A very lightly armored jumpsuit allows plenty of maneuverability, has pouches for weapons and a scroll slot over the left breast. Effects: +4 agility. Extra slots: 1 scroll slot. Special: If you have Light Helmet, Metal Plated Gloves and Padded Sandals equipped then you get +10 Defense. Price: 32.000¥ Tech level: 2
Flak Jacket variation #5 Type: Body Gear Slot: Body and 3 Accessory slots or 4 Item slots Weight: 25 Durability: 300 Defense: 30 Description: One of the bulkier type of flak jackets. It's rather large and restricts movement a bit, but it provides extra protection to the neck and chest. Effects: -3 agility, +2 strength and stamina. Special: If you have Light Helmet, Metal Plated Gloves and Padded Sandals equipped then you get +3 Agility and strength. Price: 32.000¥ Tech level: 2
Flak Jacket variation #6 Type: Body Gear Slot: Body and 1 Accessory slots or 4 Item slots Weight: 15 Durability: 250 Defense: 20 Description: A balanced flak jacket with all the common features. It has pouches for scrolls over the chest. Effects: +1 to all PS stats. Extra slots: 2 scroll slots. Special: If you have Protective screen, Forearm Guards and Improved Padded Sandals equipped then you get +1 to all stats. If you have the "Youth" trait you can wear this with the Youth suit. Price: 32.000¥ Tech level: 3
Flak Jacket variation #7 Type: Body Gear Slot: Body or 4 Item slots Weight: 10 Durability: 200 Defense: 20 Description: A smaller than usual flak jacket that protects the neck more than the shoulders. Despite its small size, it has been carefully designed not to fall short in terms of protection to its brothers. It lacks scroll pouches, but it has an item pouch on the right side just above the waist. Effects: +3 Agility, +2 strength and stamina. Extra slots: 1 item slot. Special: If you have Improved Light Helmet, Forearm Guards and Improved Padded Sandals equipped then you get +1 to all stats and +10 defense. Price: 32.000¥ Tech level: 3

Small Pre-sealed Scroll Type: Item Slot: Item or scroll slot Weight: 1 BP cost: 1 Description: A scroll that already has items sealed in it. Only ninja who can't perform sealing jutsu themselves or can't get another ninja to do it for them would buy one of these. Not only was the sealing done by barely qualified people, thus the relatively small number of items in the scroll, but they also overcharge for them. Even so they are highly useful. Effects: Contains a total of 30 simple small projectiles. You can ether unseal them all at once by unrolling the entire scroll or 1 by 1 by unrolling it bit by bit. This item turns into Empty Scroll once all its contents has been unsealed. Special: May have 1 scroll in one item slot and 3 scrolls in one scroll slot. If you already have an empty scroll and a weapon/s or something else you want to seal, you can simply pay 2,000¥ to have it/them sealed. Price: 4,000¥. Tech level: 3

Shuriken Holster Type: Weapon holster Slot: Accessory slot Weight: 0.5 Description: A small leather holster which looks a lot like a sheath for big knives. The powder has a strong odor and will only take effect if ingested or inhaled. The powder causes nausea, vomiting, depression, breathing difficulties, and in some extreme cases coma if enough is ingested. It is however rarely fatal and the symptoms will leave once the poison runs it's course. The chemical enters the blood stream and when its exposed to open air (like from a wound) it forms a reaction and clots thus slowing down, even stoping, bleeding. This however does not work properly on bigger wounds and it's effects are not a cure all by itself, just a temporary solution. It's made as a wide shot, targeting most common elements found in poisons, rather than focus on countering one particular poison. With a little help from the hosts own defenses, it can take down weaker poisons. The stronger ones are a different story though. Effects: You can take only 1 pill when infected. Taking more than 1 for the same infection will have no effect. >Cures level 1 poisons. >Halves the effects and duration of Level 2 poisons. >Makes level 3 poisons descending (4 turns per stage). >Will halt the progress of level 4 poisons. Fūma Shuriken Type: Medium Range and Melee Blade Weapon Slot: Item or Accessory slot Weight: 8 Durability: 80 Damage: x1; 5 normal = 1 bleeding; 5 normal = 1 crippling Attack power: 100 - distance x2 Defense power: 60 Description: A very powerful and dangerous weapon, the Fūma Shuriken (a.k.a. demon windmill shuriken), has this name because of it's special shape. Instead of being like the regular shuriken, where there's blades on each side of it's edges, it has blades only on one of the sides. It also shapes into a particular side and it's used mainly to cut, instead of pierce, and it's far more effective than any other projectile weapon as such. The Fūma Shuriken has also the property to retract it's four blades into forming a single one making it much easier for storing or to be used as a rather infective melee weapon. Giant War Fan Type: Large Blunt Weapon Slot: Accessory slot Weight: 15 Damage: x1/2; 14 normal(cumulative) = 1 bleeding; 7 normal(cumulative) = 1 crippling Durability: 70 Attack power: 20 Defense power: 40 Description: A huge fan used mainly for Fūton Jutsu. The fan folds open to serve that main purpose but if retracted, it can be used as a blunt type weapon, although it is hardly useful for such purposes.
